JA Homecoming

It was a GREAT game as well as fun with the Court! JA beat Pillow in a fantastic game. It was literally down to the last minute!! There were so many PrePrimer's running around - so Hudson had fun playing with his friends. He thought the girls were so pretty! Look at his face with the Homecoming Queen - he was in awe of Elise with a crown on! ha ha!! He also wants to get a "triangle costume like Scott has". Scott Gresham was on the Court ... you can see him in the pictures. The "triangle costume" would be a tux! ha ha!! Everytime one of the girls picked him up in their dresses, I lost 10 years of my life. I could just those gorgeous dresses ripping or having pizza sauce all over them! We are SO lucky to be part of such a great family school!!

Fun play date!

Garner and Hudson had so much fun Friday afternoon! They were SO sweet. I barely even knew he was here. They are precious friends. We painted canvas' and used stamps and they just played and played and played! Never a cross word. When it was time to go home they cried and sang "It's a Hard Knock Life". I'm not even kidding. They wanted to stay together forever!

These are some sweet friends in the Fish Room!! Garner, Hudson and Tristan!

Fun at the Chick-fil-a!

Garner came home with Hudson from school today and we immediately went to Chick-fil-a for the ritual meeting of 4 year olds on Friday! Ridley, Garner and Hudson had the best time playing together!!!

Homecoming Dress Up Day

Today the preschoolers got to wear football jerseys and cheerleader outfits to school because they went to the Homecoming Pep Rally!!! It was SO SO cute. They had a blast. Look how cute my baby looked!

Halloween costume

Here is what Hudson will be for Halloween. He LOVES his Batman costume!! I tried to convince him to be something we already had ... but of course, that was going to be WAY too easy!!! It's hard getting it off of him, he loves to go and rescue people - I just hope it stays in one piece for the next month!

Farm week!

This week at school has been really a treat! We have painted cows, used our hands to make sheep, made pigs with squiggly tails, etc. etc. The whole point of this picture was to show the bale of hay that I sit on during story time this week as we read books about the farm ... but after looking at it - I don't think you can even see it! ha ha!! You can see some of the cows behind them though!!
Today was 90's day for the older kids - it's Homecoming Week. Some of the Accents came by to see Huddy and they were dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! SO SO cute. They are going to email me some pictures so I can post them! I took them into my class and everyone's first reaction was dead silence! ha ha!!

Wendy's

After soccer practice on Wednesday night, Roddy took us to Wendys ... as usual, there is never a dull moment.

Poor Hudson ...

As we all know, poor Hudson has nothing (ha ha!). Well, today was no exception to the rules for our dear Hudson. Pop needed a desk for his home office, so he was going to get mine. Julie and Mimi came out to get it today and were also dropping off a small desk that we all played with as children for Hudson to have! Well, the big desk ended up being a major task to get out. Thank goodness for Julie!!! Mimi pulled out the hammer and screwdriver from her purse (can't you just see it!) and Julie took 2 doors off the hinges with some great help from Hudson!!! He was loving every minute of it. After that desk was done ... in with the little desk for Hudson. He LOVES it. Mimi had a bag full of office supplies for it too. He immediately began organizing his supplies and asked for some homework books (aka - workbooks). We did a whole workbook this afternoon! He is LOVING it. My desk is in there too ... so we "work" together now! We also moved all of his blocks, legos, car tracks, train tracks, easels, etc. (you see where I'm going with this) into the "office" to give him more room to really build and have fun!!! BIG day! Well, we are off to Accent practice followed by soccer practice!

Premier Week!

We had Back to School Night last night and it was a great time!! The rooms were all so cute and it was great to see everyone. It's hard balancing between being a Mom and a teacher though! Whew! I really just wanted to give a recognition to a blog that you may enjoy. www.jennystvpics.blogspot.com. Jenny Woodruff is our TV expert. I am not using the word expert lightly. She LOVES it. So ... we have all always turned to her for advice on what to watch and what we miss. She has now created a blog to keep everyone informed! You gotta check it out and give your opinions!!!

Sunday School

This Sunday they were learning to follow Jesus. They used footprints, mazes and stories of Matthew to help them learn more about following in Jesus' footsteps! It was a fun Sunday. They all traced their feet and put "I have decided to follow Jesus" on the print with their names on the heels. We cut them out and will be using them on the bulletin board that says "We have decided to follow Jesus". They will start at the bottom with the children and walk their way up to Jesus on the bulletin board! I'll post a picture of the finished product!!

JA v Heritage

Another bus trip! We rode the bus up with the cheerleaders and back with the Accents because the cheerleader sponsor couldn't be there. So Hudson was FULL of attention Friday night. It was a great game and he played football with Wilson Nalty and Matthew Brown (his teacher's boys) until he could barely stand up. He was in heaven! It was another great win for JA too. One of Heritage's coaches had to leave on stretcher because of a prior medical condition that acted up again ... so we hope he doing well. It was also interesting to see that they had a girl football player. She played!! Fun night ... see you at Homecoming!!

Lindsay's Baby Shower!

Lindsay's having a GIRL!! We all got together for a shower for Baby Girl Dehmer. Lindsay and Dodds won't tell the name of the babies until they get here ... so she has all kinds of nicknames to hold her over! It was so much getting together with everyone again. And ... before the emails start, yes all of us that went to high school are still friends - really. ha ha!! Stacy Stovall was one of the hosts and had the party at her home. It was incredible how precious she had things. Lindsay got SO many fun things. It is amazing how many new things have come out in just 4 years!! It was a great night.
