Update on Hudson

Just an update on Huddy ... he got sick Saturday evening with what appeared to be a 24 hour stomach bug. He is still sick today though. He shows signs of getting better and then the bottom falls out. Today he went to the doctor and has lost a good bit of weight and was dehydrated but not to a point of hospitalization. We are so grateful for no hospital. They got him a compound prescription ... so hopefully, things will be looking up. Please keep Hudson in your prayers on his road to recovery. It's been a wild two weeks! I feel certain this is God's way of getting it out of his system before school starts.

Fun Saturday with friends!

We had a fun day with our friends! We met for Chick-fil-a lunch then went bowling at the new bowling alley in Brandon. It was very nice! This was Hudson's first experience! Here are some shots from the day. And ... yes ... there is one where the ball is at a dead stand still in the middle of the lane and required help! ha ha!! Never a dull moment!

After bowling we went by DD's (Dara) house for a visit! They have a new dog named Gibson! They have Reese too. The boys LOVED playing with them. Reese ended up taking a rest in the corner away from the madness! We love our DD! Then we all ventured into Target which proved to be the last stop. Between Lindsay almost stealing a purse, snacks coming out of every which way and discussions about bad words ... it was time for a rest! :) What are we going to do when baby girl Dehmer gets here?? We are ALL BOY ALL THE TIME!

It's BACK!

Well - we brought the slide back out today! It's been a long week with pink eye and it was time to celebrate! Hudson had so much fun playing on the slide and then jumping into the little pool! We went on a long walk together afterwards ... can we say early bedtime!!!

CAPTAIN HUDSON BRIDGES

Yes ... we still love pirates! We love dressing up and today we took it a step further and added the beard. ARGH!

Sunday School and Praise Patch

They learned about GENTLENESS at Church this week! Hudson had a great morning with his Church friends. They made sheep necklaces, Psalm 23 bookmarks and used their handprints to create sheep! They were so cute. Ginger dressed like a shepherd and led the sheep - that is why they are all crawling on the ground! SO precious - they LOVED it. Lauren and Joann read stories to them about Psalm 23 and letting their light shine. It was a great way for us to see the story of the shepherd and his sheep through the eyes of the kids!

MIRIAM IS THREE!

Miriam Milan's 3rd birthday party was tonight. There was a large crowd and ALL of her family was able to be there!!! It was a typical Milan event - PERFECT! We had so much fun visiting with friends and playing. They had a blow up water slide that Hudson stayed on ALL night long! He was asleep at 8:00 tonight ... thanks Courtney! :) Woo - hoo! I got to keep Liv for a while and proved to be the non-family member favorite for the night ... yes, I'm still eating that up! It was a WONDERFUL party! We have such great friends!

RHETT - The Fish

Well, today, Hudson's Dad got him a beta fish. Hudson was THRILLED about his fish. Hudson has named the fish ... Rhett. Yes, that is our dog's name. Yes, that is also our fish's name. I explained the whole deal to Hudson and it was really irrelevant ... Hudson has named him Rhett. So now, when we leave the house, we say "Bye Rhett - we love you!" two times! WOW!

SWIMMING PLAY DATE!

What a fun play date! We went to Lindsay's grandparents house to swim and enjoy dinner by the pool. Nicole had Lily and Sophie, Wendy had Ella Hall and Wilkes, Lindsay had Nash and Ridley, Jenny had Mallory and I had Hudson! They are so sweet together and had a LARGE time! They feasted on Chick-fil-a, chips, cookies, popsicles and watermelon!!! Hudson had a big moment ... he swam across the DEEP END ALL BY HIMSELF! It was a first for us. We were all so proud. It was a GREAT afternoon with our friends!

Rhett Butler Bridges

I couldn't introduce Laney and not Rhett! Rhett is Hudson and my baby! Rhett actually came before Hudson - and we all very anxiously held our breath to see how that was going to play out. After some doubtful times ... we have two best buds! Hudson and Rhett are very sweet together. I named him Rhett Butler because I knew that was the closest chance I had to being Scarlett!! Rhett just recovered from heart worms. He is doing great now! He is almost 6 years old. We used to have a bunny too ... but that's another story!

I'M AN AUNT!!!!

Well ... that should start the rumors huh?! My sister (Amanda) and her husband (Clayton) are still newly weds ... but they got their first baby ... Laney Kellum. She is quite the beauty! She is so cute!!!! We love her very much. Hudson and I sing the song "Copa Cabana" and change the words to "Her name was Laney ... she is a show dog" because our Laney prances like a queen bee! It is absolutely hilarious to watch!!! Laney is my first little niece ... now I'm ready for baby!! I am SO lucky to have my sister and Clayton. Clayton and I have been best friends since the 10th grade - I couldn't have asked for a better brother-in-law but more importantly, uncle and role model for Hudson! We LOVE Clayton! My sister is my best friend in the WORLD! She is younger than me - but she is my rock and my role model! She is the best friend, sister and aunt. I couldn't have imagined a better person to have in my life and Hudson's!

BIRTHDAY!

Well ... another birthday! This year my Mom ("Bom") is contagious and cannot be around Hudson. So poor Bom had to get me a cake and just pass it to me to take home. As you can see - she made sure Hudson had a special treat just for him too! Jenny, Lindsay, Dara and I go to lunch for our birthdays every year. We have been best friends since high school ... and it's just become a tradition. Dara had to work and couldn't make lunch. Hudson really enjoyed the birthday cake part of it all! He wasn't real happy that it wasn't HIS birthday though. ha ha!! Thank you for all of the cards, calls, emails and text messages! It was a good day!
