WOW! First day of "real" school. Hudson was up, dressed and ready to roll this morning. He was so excited and looking SO handsome. When got there, there was a little change. He wasn't going to go straight to Ms. Nalty's room. This threw the whole plan for a loop. He cried and told them that he was angry! (ha ha! using our words!) As he would pass me periodically during the day, he would get a little emotional - but by the end of the day things were looking better. They all got to see each other on the playground and it was like watching a family reunion. Friends from DAC, Trace Hills and JA summer were all united and ready to roll! It was precious. They were introducing each other to new friends and were just a sight to see. Hudson was very proud of his artwork he did. He got to see the Accents as we were leaving (they were eating lunch) and he acted big and tough for them ... but it was definitely an adjustment having to have Mommy there! :) It is such a great program. They teach us that loving each and every child isn't enough ... that we must make sure they KNOW they are loved each day. And that this is a family school and we are to know the parents and make each person feel comfortable. It's giving our kids the same feeling we got while we there. It's an amazing program.
Todd is the Executive Director at Medical Practice Solutions and a soccer coach for Jackson Futbol Club (Coach of the Year in Mississippi AND for the Region III!!) Story works at Jackson Academy in the preschool as well as an Accent sponsor. I am also the Director of Sunday Preschool at Christ United Methodist Church and have an online stationery business. Hudson is in Kindergarten at JA and plays soccer, tball, karate, basketball and computertots. He LOVES all of his friends and is one of the most wonderfully powerfully passionate people I have ever known with the best sense of humor.
