More than ever today's lesson comes to play in my life. Learning thru the eyes of children can really prove to be more eye opening than anything else! Our emphasis was really on angels today. They made angel ornaments, angels on their shoulders, etc. etc. Well, today has ended up being one of those days that it all comes full circle. This weekend I have had an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness to God for things that I am so not deserving for. I have asked for alot and really been given more than I deserve from Him. Tonight I am facing so many different emotions and I keep being drawn back to a beautiful angel made out of paper, colored on by my 4 year old with GLITTER on the wings that is hanging on my Christmas tree - front and center - because that is where he put it! For some reason, everytime I have called the angel a "girl" today, something has caused me to stop and call it a "boy"?! SO strange. But I think I am beginning to understand something ... and remember, it takes BIG things for me to get it sometimes. Angels are all around us. God sends them to make us feel better, to protect us. All we have to do is ASK! God, Jesus, angels ... the full works - we get it! Well, I hope nobody out there is needing any extras tonight ... because I'm needing full support! :) ha ha!! Do our busy schedules make us lose sight of the importance of our relationships and our own happiness? I am looking for a peace that I cannot put my finger on right now ... but I know that there is an angel out there watching me ... and I know that our God is preparing me ... and I know I will always be taken care of. Our time here is so short in comparison to what we have awaiting. I do feel like I have angels around me ... in the shape of a parent, a grandparent and some special friends - maybe even a dog or two ... it does help me to know that I am being guarded and all I have to do is look inside myself for the strength I need each day because it's already been given to me!
