Today was a very moving day at Vacation Bible School. There was a wonderful skit and Bible lesson about how Jesus give us the POWER to LIVE FOREVER. The children would put frowny faces on stickers and stick them to the cross ... therefore, putting their worries on the cross. They got to roll back the rock at the tomb and see that it was EMPTY! They are so precious singing and dancing to these songs. These children are learning life lessons of such magnitude and making great friends and the effects are just rippling throughout the Church right now. It was just a marvelous day!!

VBS - Tuesday
Another GREAT day at Vacation Bible School! The children learned today that Jesus gives us the power to HELP OTHERS! Aha! They learned about the story of the blind man who Jesus made see by rubbing mud on his eyes and washing it off. During their Bible stories the leaders blind-folded them and rubbed a dirt like substance on their blind-folds then took them off so they could see! They LOVED it! Then they made water bottles with men in them that you flip around to try to get them to hook onto each other and "help each other". Very great lessons! Then Ricky was LIGHT MAN! It was hilarious. The kids had a blast and our group is growing! God is truly blessing this and you can just feel it when you are there!!!

VBS - Monday
Rimes Dehmer Christening
Rimes was Christened on Sunday. Hudson and I were unable to make it to the Church part ... but made it to the Brunch in her honor afterwards. It was beautiful and so much fun. It was catered by Julep - yummy! The kids were drinking oj out of champagne flutes! ha ha!! It was just a great way to honor such a special way to dedicate Rimes into Christ's care!
Elijah the WARRIOR!
We were learning about Elijah in Sunday School this week. Hudson and I brought in 12 blocks to use to build the altar they used to show that only the TRUE God could burn the wet wood and rocks. Anyway .... Hudson called me in the room and said "Look Mommy I built the altar. Here is the cross that shows where Jesus died. Here are the red blocks for the blood of Jesus. Here is the altar for sacrifice." I almost cried my eyes out! What a precious gift God sends us in our children!!!
VBS Crew Kids
As everyone sets up and gets ready for Vacation Bible School (I spelled it out just for you DD!) our kids have the BEST time. They just run that Church for a week solid and have more fun! It is precious to hear them in the halls and gets you really excited about getting ready to fill the halls and rooms with more laughter and fun!!!
